
Trip Activities


1. Yoga and Meditation / Asilah
With this first class of yoga and meditation of the trip we will welcome the Moroccan sun to our lives. If you have practiced yoga before, you have probably seen first hand the benefits of doing it and if you have never done it, get ready to feel it.
Breathe in with intention and let out everything that causes you stress; without having to return to those situations in several days will allow you to feel good and enjoy this trip as you have never done before.





2. Getting lost in the Medina / Asilah
Eating and walking by the sea will be our main mission in Asilah. Then, if we feel brave enough to explore the local life system, we will enjoy the Hammam which will provide us with an experience of cleanliness, relaxation and female camaraderie.





3. Ascent to the old Spanish city / Chefchaouen
The Spaniards passing through Chefchaouen left its footprint. One of the most important tourist attractions of this city is to visit the church that is now a mosque, not because the church is something very special, but because of the magnificence of the view.
While the rest of the world is still asleep, we will get up to receive the sunrise to fill us with energy and calm before going out to see the city.





4. Tour of the city / Chefchaouen.
Of the most significant things in Morocco, is that this saying was never as appropriate as in this country: "Not everyone who wanders is lost" ... although the mission is to lose ourselves in the magnificent cobbled streets, until we can return with treasures.

5. Art / Chefchaouen.
The city is full of small galleries; Trying to go home without a piece of art might be a real challenge. Paintings, sculptures, vessels, fabrics and even pieces of jewelry that are true works of art and that will captivate you. Remember to set apart some money for this "artistic shopping" because you are going to need it.





6. Climb the Rif Mountain / Chefchaouen.
The Rif is a mountain range that rises to the north of Morocco with limestone mountains with impressive peaks that can reach up to 2,500 meters.
In the valleys there are forests of cedar, oak, carob and olive trees and the views will take your breath away. If time and temperature permit, climbing the Rif mountain range could be part of our excursion.





7. Ait Ben Hadu / Ouarzazate.
It is a fortified city, also called a castle, which has been declared by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. It is also recognized as location for many blockbuster films such as The Mummy, Gladiator, Alexander the Great, Babel and the legendary television show Games of Thrones, among many others.
This place was the main city at some point in its history, but today only a few families still live inside the wall due to their lack of running water. It is a unique place, full of history and with great tourist attraction.
On one of its terraces to the highest part there is a small place for tea time that is a must.





8. Meditate on the top of a Castle / Ouarzazate.
Let everything aside, put the mind to rest and concentrate in only one thing: you!. This place will give us the best scenario to do so as we say goodbye to the afternoon and conquer our inner self.





9. Atlas Mountain / Ouarzazate.
It is the mountain range that divides the southern desert part from the rest of the country. The landscape is very particular, in a green and brown canvas difficult to compare with other desert regions. Its mountain villages can become so green in the winter and give us an unimaginable landscape of roses, a flower that is often used in the country to make creams, incenses and the famous rosewater, which of course you'll want to buy!
This area has been the location for films like Lawrence of Arabia and many of the inhabitants still have that old style in their homes and lifestyle and you can even feel it in the air. This mountain range is spectacular without a doubt and Lilith's Travel takes you to visit several points within its mountains, channels, streams and canyons, which will leave you totally impressed.





10. Yoga and Meditation / Merzouga.
Connecting with yourself in the desert is an indescribable experience. Salute the sun from a place that seems to have no beginning or end while you work on your balance feeling the air and sand around you, is something you will never forget.
Especially if in the middle of your practice you must stop to let travelers on dromedaries pass.





11. Chill in the Hotel / Merzouga.
A well deserved rest can’t be denied to anyone, especially after a long journey through mountains and valleys to get to the majestic Sahara.
The magical hotel will transport you to the Arabian Nights tales, but its modern touch will give you all the amenities you are looking for: take a dip in a pool while you watch the endless desert and the dromedaries that go into it to finally have a restful sleep.





12. Music Gnawa / Merzouga.
It is one of the main genres of Moroccan folklore. The instruments used are the Guembri: an instrument of three strings and sound of low, the Tbel or Drum, that is played with the help of a curved stick, and the Qraqeb that are characteristic castanets of metal.
The music is very rhythmic and the singing resembles a dialogue in which the main voice makes invocations and the chorus responds to them. The melody is simple and is guided with the guembri accompanied by percussion instruments and palms. It is said that it is a mean to reach the trance.

13. Nomad Camp / Merzouga
The nomad camp is like an oasis in the desert. It is to have the opportunity to sleep one night under the stars of the Sahara, that we embark on this long journey.
In the camp, in addition to sharing a beautiful traditional meal of desert food in the company of other travelers, we can enjoy the gnawa music that will animate our night, closing an unforgettable day in the Sahara.





14. Dromedary ride / Merzouga
Because you can not be in the Sahara desert without living this experience! It will seem very cliché, but it is certainly something that you have to experiment, especially to tell your friends why this idea is more romantic in the movies than in reality.
These lovely and noble animals, which are not camels but dromedaries, (since in Morocco there are no camels, they are two-humped and the dromedary has only one) will be your mean of transportation in the majesty of the desert, making this adventure something out of a tv show. Riding one of these animals is not the most comfortable thing in the world, but it will surely be something that will give you a lot to tell.





15. Dunes / Merzouga
Merzouga is the only place in Morocco where you can see the dunes as featured in other parts of the Sahara such as Egypt, Algeria and Tunisia.
The best of all? Run and roll as a child and feel how your body and mind are released. If this doesn’t make you happy, then you have serious problems!





16. Dar-Es-Sultan / Essaouria.
The Sultan Castle is located in Dabat, 3 km from Essaouira and is famous for have been a European-style construction with glass windows and a lot of majesty. It is currently in ruins but with a little imagination we can recreate that image in our mind. Its halls were visited by kings, dignitaries, leaders, ambassadors, businessmen and important people of the time.
Around the 1960s it was the center of operations of a hippie commune where it is said that Jimi Hendrix was part of several crazy parties and the Castle was the inspiration for his song "Castle Made of Sand".

17. Tagharte Beach / Essaouira.
A visit to the beach of Tagharte, is a must. This is one of the most recognized and clean beaches in Morocco, awarded the Label Pavillon Blue for the quality of its water, its environment and its facilities; all this makes it undoubtedly a gem of the Atlantic Ocean.
This beach is ideal for walking, riding horses and dromedaries and other activities that we will take you to do.

18. Kitesurf / Essaouira.
Essaouira is one of the destinations on the route of surfers and especially kitesurfers for the quality and constancy of its wind. You know the saying: when in Rome, do as the Romans do.
Lilith's Travel takes you to an introductory class, so you get to experience a sport that is captivating everyday has more and more followers, especially women. Learn what meditation in action is and fulfill your dream of being able to fly. If what you dreamed about was going with the wave, surfing is always an option.





19. Ida Ougourd / Essaouria.
It is very likely that a group of donkeys will welcome us to this city, where the market attracts so many people that the population multiplies by 10 and up to 15 times per day.
Unforgettable colors, flavors and smells will captivate you and you will want to stock up on spices, oils and a thousand other things. Each town has its market, and the name of it is in accordance with the day of the week that the market happens, that is why it will depend on the day we are in the city that we can attend one or the other. A bit of cultural shopping that you will love.

20. Fish Market / Essaouira.
Nothing so natural as choosing your own fresh fish and then get it prepare for you at that very moment. Squids, shrimp, prawns, white fish and of course, Sardines, which are the typical dish of the region, are among the variety that is offered and that you can enjoy prepared to your liking and craving.





21. Hammams / Essaouira.
The famous, incredible and incomparable Moroccan baths. It's time to pamper yourself in a traditional Arabian bath; it is all you need to feel good as new: a steam cleansing and exfoliation of the skin.
In addition to the benefits you will feel in your body, the experience of being in a hammam will make you feel what it would be like to be part of a harem. Lilith's Travel will accompany you in this delicious experience, both, in the traditional hammams and in the most luxurious ones, so you will be able to know the difference between both and try a bit of the Moroccan life. 22. Couscous’ Friday / Essaouira.
Just as Sunday is the day of paella, sancocho, pasta, and other traditions of family food in our countries, in Morocco, Friday is the day of rest, and the moment when the family gets together to eat the traditional couscous in one of its many versions.
We will do the same while we enjoy a beautiful view of the sea and help a good cause, supporting an association that helps abused women.





23. Yoga and Meditation / Essaouira.
We will start every day with yoga and / or meditation on the beach or on the terrace of our house, overlooking the sea. We will do sun salutations to charge us with energy and prepare us to embark on our adventure through Moroccan lands.
This daily practice, in addition of helping you internally, will provide you with physical benefits that you will gradually feel in your body. It's like a cup of morning coffee, but much healthier and better!

24. Market / Marrakech.
Lilith's Travel will take you to the Souk, a labyrinth of stalls full of local and irresistible products such as clothing, spices, crafts and typical products such as the world famous Argan oil.
We recommend that you make a list of the products that you would like to buy before going, and stick to it as much as possible! Unless you want to finish with a thousand things in your suitcase, paying on extra luggage upon your return.
In the souk the sellers do their job very well, so you can put into practice your most aggressive and secret bargaining techniques since you shouldn’t pay more than 30% of the original price. Do you accept the challenge?





25. Djemaa-el-fna / Marrakech Square.
The busiest main square in the world and the most famous spot in Marrakech. It is Unesco's intangible cultural heritage and there are artists of all kinds, such as acrobats, dancers, storytellers and musicians who make of the main square their stage.
You can also find all kinds of people and characters such as snake charmers, dentists, teachers exhibiting their teachings, vendors of orange juice, which incidentally is a must, and much more, that make this place a mixture of color, culture and business.
At night the main square is filled with food stalls, becoming a great open-air restaurant with smells and flavors floating around. As cultural note, in this square were shot some scenes from the movie "The man who knew too much" by Alfred Hitchcock.





26. Palace of the Bay / Marrakech.
This iconic place not only comprises the palace, but also a set of gardens. This palace was built in the nineteenth century with the intention of capturing the Islamic and Moroccan styles as well as being the largest palace of all time.
It has 160 rooms and innumerable gardens, patios and rooms with typical Moroccan decoration. Lilith's Travel takes you to visit this unique place, full of art and royal beauty.





27. House of Yves Saint Laurent / Marrakech.
Its official name is Jardin Majorelle and is a botanical garden and one of the main tourist attractions of Marrakech. The original idea was conceived by the French artist Jacques Majorelle who ordered the construction of this art deco villa, integrated by the main house on the top floor and a workshop on the ground floor. The botanical garden was also of its creation and included about 130 species.
In 1980 and after several years of neglect, Yves Saint Laurent acquired the property, increased the number of species of the botanical garden to more than 300, preserved the villa as his private home and converted the workshop into the Museum of Islamic Art in Marrakech.
